NEWTON, December 8, 2025 – Catawba County Board of Education will hold a special called meeting at 5:00
p.m. on Monday, December 15, 2025, at the Catawba County Schools Center for Administrative Services (2285
N. Anderson Avenue, Newton, North Carolina). The meeting will be held in the boardroom.
The purpose of this special called meeting is a Closed Session.
N.C.G.S. 143-318-11 (a)(1) to prevent the disclosure of information that is privileged or confidential, and (a)(3) to
consult with an attorney employed or retained by the public body to preserve the attorney-client privilege.
The regular meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. as scheduled.

NEWTON, December 8, 2025 – Catawba County Board of Education will hold a regular meeting on Monday,
December 15, 2025, at the Catawba County Schools Center for Administrative Services (2285 North Anderson
Avenue, Newton, North Carolina). A swearing-in ceremony will also be held for a newly-appointed board
member. The meeting will be held in the boardroom beginning at 6:00 p.m.

To ensure everyone’s safety, the regular meeting is subject to a 60-seat occupancy cap for the public. No
standing will be allowed in the boardroom during the meeting or public hearing.
