Catawba County Schools is aware that the Catawba County Board of Commissioners will consider a potential school district merger, with a vote scheduled for April 20.

While this decision rests solely with the Board of Commissioners, Catawba County Schools remains focused on our core responsibility—serving students and supporting our school communities. A key priority for our district is ensuring we have adequate facilities and classroom space to meet current and future enrollment needs.

We recognize that this is an important topic for our community and that there are a variety of perspectives. The Board of Education is actively working with local leaders to share information and address questions and concerns related to the current proposal.

Catawba County Schools will continue to monitor the process and remain focused on what matters most—providing a safe, supportive, and high-quality education for every student we serve.
