We are aware of a report circulating this morning (Monday, April 20) on the Crime Radar dispatch audio app indicating that an armed individual is attempting to enter a school in the vicinity of Bandys High School. This information is false.

School administrators have checked the campus and have been in direct communication with the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office. There are no credible reports of this incident, and there is no threat to the school.

Out of an abundance of caution, we will continue to monitor the situation and maintain communication with law enforcement.
